I don't mind taking them, but I don't really think they accurately reflect one's level of knowledge of some subject matter.

Yes, my mom's.  Fortunately, the funeral home we used was very helpful and did a great deal to make the task less difficult than it could have been.

umm umm ... Actually I blame my lack of a work ethic on the fact I had no chores growing up.
