I've been reading (on the web) about Radio Caroline, the pirate radio featured in "The Ship that Rocked" released in the US as "Pirate Radio". Fascinating stuff, in many ways more exciting than the movie.
It is a story of a government obsessed with controlling what can be broadcast and a group who fought back. Walnut and sledgehammer stuff, rather than David and Goliath.
And the story continues to this day.

I loved that movie, and such a great soundtrack. Oh, and Bill Nighy!

Wife bought paint for the front porch for this weekend, & since this is outside, exposed to the elements, prep work has expanded to its proper level of 90% of the job.
We just happened to have picked the day when we broke a 101-yr-old record high temp, with the ever present humidity to do it. I'm still re-hydrating. And hurting all over.

I feel ya, Scotz. Today was my third day of hard labor on the AZ room. Fortunately, it was cooler today here than where you are. I made a command decision as we dragged ourselves into the house today: we're taking the next 2 days off. I can grout on Tuesday.

Fuck this 94F. They put Memorial Day on a HOT day so you don't forget how to want to kill something.

PF, if I didn't know any better I'd say you really don't like heat.

In Baltimore, we compensate for the high heat (35C) by raising the humidity.

94F? Hot? 112F in Vegas was uncomfortably warm, 94 should be a doddle for you.
