Dearsweet & I are looking forward to "La Cage Aux Folles" this evening, then it's off to slower, lower Delaware for a Christening on Sunday.

The art-house movie (parent of the BirdCage) or a stage production?

It’s the touring production with George Hamilton cast as Georges, the manager of the nightclub. Dearsweet, who is sensitive to these things, pointed out that this would probably be the only opportunity we’d ever get to watch him perform.

If you want to see a pretty good movie similar in style to the Ocean's series (11, 12 & 13); Tower Heist just might be the movie for you. Fun to watch with a lot of action in it.

I am going to big Indian event this evening. We go every year to see friends of Mr. Lil perform in their annual cultural festival. The only disappointing thing will be no Indian food cause the kids there all want pizza.

At the risk of being crass, which Indian?
As for the food, bison vindaloo will cover either eventuality.

I thought this was a joke at first.
Zimbabwe police bust gang of sperm harvesters
Correspondents Report Africa correspondent Ginny Stein
Posted November 06, 2011 12:39:10
Zimbabwe Police in Zimbabwe believe they have broken up a gang of women rapists who threatened or drugged their male victims in a series of crimes stretching nationwide over the past year.
Authorities say they arrested three women in possession of 31 used condoms.
The women have been remanded in custody after their accusers picked them out in a police line-up.
The first stories of women assaulting men emerged two years ago. Ever since, hardly a week has gone by without another report.
The stories have all been similar - men offered a lift by women driving expensive vehicles, only to find themselves sexually assaulted at gunpoint and their sperm harvested before being set free.
The arrests came after a vehicle being driven by the boyfriend of one of the women was involved in an accident.
The women arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, telling police they had to retrieve something from the car.
"At first they did not disclose what it was but when the police officers indicated that they had retrieved from the vehicle certain paper containing certain items, they admitted that it was there," Superintendent Andrew Phiri said.
Police say they are not exactly sure why the women have been harvesting sperm at gunpoint but there has been a lot of speculation that it is for use in traditional medicine.
"That speculation... has been going around but as the police, until we get something that is concrete, we will try and deal with it, those that we have arrested, to find out what exactly they wanted to use those things for," Superintendent Phiri said.
'Supernatural powers'
Sociologist Dr Watch Ruparanganda from the University of Zimbabwe has just published his thesis, Genitals Are Assets, about sexual practices in Zimbabwe.
He says this case confirms the value of sperm in traditional medicine.
"How could the people have more than 30 condoms on them if it wasn't for business," Dr Ruparanganda said.
"Obviously one here can see that it's some form of business otherwise people wouldn't spend time you know, harvesting sperm for nothing and they are risking their lives."
Dr Ruparanganda says body parts have long been used in traditional medicine of juju, as it is called in Zimbabwe.
"They are - these people who can manipulate supernatural powers," he said.
"We know that rituals in our society, in Zimbabwe over that takes place because traditionally for example business people here have been known to actually be involved in murder, in murdering of children hiring people to murder children so that they get some body parts and so on, blood and so on."
He says stealing sperm is the modern way of doing things, "so that they avoid the killing or the murdering".
The three women are now being held in custody in Zimbabwe's capital Harare to face court later this month.
Police are hopeful their capture will lead to further arrests.
