Yes...the Army places a lot of restrictions on recruitments...including weight to height requirements, being flat-foot, having asthma, etc...I tried to reactivate my commission when we went to Iraq...I was there for the first one in 1991, but I have developed Asthma as a result of an illness I had, and so they would not accept me in even though they are desparate. I do understand about the Army extending his AR to IRR...that is the modern day answer to the draft! I send you and your soldier my best wishes...hang in there!!!
