Lou I totally got what you were saying because that is how I feel about getting fruits from out of state here. They pick them green and they ripen/rot or they ripen them artificially. We are having a hard time with bananas right now in our grocery stores. The bananas are almost all green however when peeled they are very ripe...almost too ripe for those of us who prefer them on the starchier side.
