Anybody else have the doll, I think her name was Tressie?, push a button on her tummy and her pony tail would grow, insert the key in her back to make it short again...?
A big thing for my family was to go to 'A & W Drive-In'. The waitress' roller skated to your car and hooked a little tray on your driver side widow. We never ate there (Dad felt it was to expensive) but we got root beer in huge frosted mugs. yumm!
And how about drive-in movies.... not many of them around anymore. We usually fell asleep before the movie ended.

I had one of those dolls Teddy! Well, that is until my little sister decided she needed a haircut and cut off her ponytail! LOL
My first job was at an A&W when I was 12.
Shhhhhhhhhh....my parents would take all of us to the drive-in. They would show the Mr. Magoo cartoons and some others at the beginnig and then we would be told to go to the back of the TravelAll on our blankets to go to sleep while my parents would watch a racy (it was soft porn) movie.. lol - yes they showed those at the drive-in - the big screen was located outside of town in the country. What my parents didn't know was that if I was laying just right in the back, I could see the reflection of the movie in the back window.. and of course I could hear what was going on from the speaker that dad hung on his car window.
