I mainly PM friends when I have something to say or when I'm replying back.

I will PM someone I don't know if I want to say something privately.

I will PM Lilith if I need help because she is the best and has been so helpful to me in the past especially before I learned how to size a picture.

I will say I have made some of my best friends on the net over PM conversations.

And yes I have read some of the lamest PM's from guys that need to work on their approach.
