I,personally,built & customized many nice cars & motorcycles,but the nicest car,that I ever bought new,was a '68 Firebird.My best friends,father & grand-
father, owened the Pontiac Dealership,in my home town.I borrowed all of the
catologs,& ordered the car built for me at the factory(new) It was superfast,
when it was delivered & then I went to work on it.I finally took the racing gears, out of the rearend, because my wife & I were going back & forth to NH,
at least 1-2 times per month.I drove by tachometer(not speedometer) & at
3600RPM,I was doing 80mph.I know it would turn well over 7200,because of
the special titanium lifters,that I installed.As my ex-statecop father,told me-
It doesn't matter how fast it is,you can't beat a radio wave.I sure did make
alot of money on street-races tho. Irish :devilish:
P.S. My black '57 chevy was nice, but I didn't buy it that way!
P.P.S.Darogle,I had a '72 Monte Carlo also, but mine was White with a Black
Vinyl(sp?) top!
