I actually did one time. It was years ago. My boss and I were talking and he turned and walked away. I was young and went back and asked if I could talk to him in private. He said okay and I told him that as my boss he could tell me to shut up or fire me or whatever else, but I had always respected him and felt that for him to simply turn his back on me like that was very rude and I resented it as a person.

He apologized, said he suddenly became distracted by something, and didn't realize he'd done that. We became very good friends and could always speak openly to one another after that.
