We actually did last week. My cousins and I were at a restaurant and had the WORST service. I had to beg for my coffee, my meal was served 10 minutes after everyone else's . . . my cousin went to the front to pay and the owner said, "You're not going to leave a tip?" I was going to get money out for the tip but my cousin said, "No, we're not leaving a tip if you're going to be rude about it."

We would have tipped even though the service was terrible but the owner was so RUDE. A tip is not mandatory! Grr
