Well, not quite. A "unicorn" has a more specific meaning...the poly/kink community applies that label to people (usually an established couple) who are looking for that bi-sexual woman, who will form a triad, usually doesn't have a life outside of the triad, practically worship (or in the case of the kink community, serve) each member of the established couple, blah, blah, blah.

The people in question are the ones referred to as "unicorn hunters". Like the creature from legend, the sought-after creatures, the unicorns themselves are mythical.
