I'm remembering how on this date back in '95 I drove to Des Moines from Lawrence, Kansas and found an apartment to move into. While I was signing the lease in the office the news came over the TV about the Oklahoma City bombing.

I'm also thinking about how today is my best friend's daughter's 8th birthday.
