At the risk of being repetitious here's the story....We're being evicted from the house we're renting (long story). My husband and I planned on relocating to Missouri when he retired in 2 yrs. But because we really didn't want to move twice in such a short time he's taking an early retirement which will take effect Dec. 1 and we've decided to make the move to Missouri now rather than later. And since he has to work until Dec. 1 and we couldn't find anyone willing to put us up, with our 4 cats, until then we decided that I should head for Missouri with the cats and stay with Murphy and his family until I find work and a place of my own.
I left Detroit at 2 a.m. (EDT) Sunday night/Monday morning and arrived here around 3:30 p.m. (CDT). I know you know about Murphy's phone troubles...so I got a phone line put in my name and "VOILA", we're back online.
So....for now I'm living with Murphy....with my husband's blessings.   
I didn't want to bring my cats to Murphy's because he already has 4 of his own plus 3 dogs and no one at home would take them in. But the shelter here is being so wonderful and housing them for me until I can find a place of my own where I can have them back. I'm going to visit them in a while and take Murphy's daughter along. She's wanted to see them but by the time she gets home from school the shelter is closed.
