it was certainly fascinating.
no wonder you're having issues. ritually impure? and it's still observed? touching may lead to something more? man, that was kind of depressing.
what i would like to find out is why these rituals were begun. usually, what lies behind most religious laws that encompass eating habits, personal contact and the like, is some sort of real threat to the populous' health/safety. or at least that's what i've read - but i can't figure out what the dangers of menstrual blood would have been. it has definitely piqued my curiosity,
