1. I received the most gorgeous pair of amethyst earrings this afternoon, "just because."

2. I got a good job offer today and, as guilty as I feel about leaving my current position after only 2-1/2 months and because they've been wonderful to me, the new opportunity is a much better "fit," and I think will work better for our future plans.
