Let me see if I can remember that far back....

dog named Scamper who had to be given to my cousin when we came to Canada

dog named Gypsy who was killed by a deranged neighbor when he was drunk by hitting the dog with a crowbar. I was 10 and my mother and I tried to get the guy off the dog and we got hit too.....That was heartbreaking for my family.

Susie the beagle who had to go to a new home when we moved to an apartment.

Another dog named Scamp that died at age 15...after I had left the nest.

Sammy the cat who was my surrogate baby while I was pregnant with my first baby. My mom took him after her dog Scamp died and he lived to be 20.

Pepper and Ginger...cats Pepper ran away and Ginger had to be put down at age 16

A stray dog that followed my ex home and she only answered to Whitey.....passed at approximage age of 17

Next came Rufus the goofus, a Heinz 87 lol who was rescued from an abusive owner at the age of 4 months. He joined Whitey and Ginger. He passed away in my arms in Dec. 2003

Gnarley Harley a female terri poo joined Rufus in 1992 and died in 2003 just a few months before Rufus. He and I sure did miss that little girl.

Finally in September of 2003 on my birthday I was coming home and saw a boy crying. He told me his mom had told him to "get rid" of his dog by leaving him at a local park. I took him home. He is Nick....a poor little guy that grew up with cats and was obviously treated poorly by the boy's mother. He was very untrusting and at times vicious, but he is a mushball now......He loves cats and I am thinking of getting one for him lol. He is about 3 and a half now.

I love animals and I get so upset to see when they are brought into a home and treated poorly or complained about repeatedly. It drives me nuts to see people that do not get their animals neutered or spayed. They give unconditional love and they deserve the same.
