I've done that. I remember one time at an A&W, I drove away and didn't realize I'd left the "number" in the car window from when i got waited on. Drove back several miles to return it. The girl that waited on me was very appreciative since she had to pay for it if I hadn't returned it. Opposite of chasing, but the same idea.

nope...I would write a letter or email to the owner. Have done! I am better when I have time to compose myself ... otherwise I act rash and end up not being effective.

We actually did last week. My cousins and I were at a restaurant and had the WORST service. I had to beg for my coffee, my meal was served 10 minutes after everyone else's . . . my cousin went to the front to pay and the owner said, "You're not going to leave a tip?" I was going to get money out for the tip but my cousin said, "No, we're not leaving a tip if you're going to be rude about it."

We would have tipped even though the service was terrible but the owner was so RUDE. A tip is not mandatory! Grr

Absolutely. Used to spend a lot of time bowling and doing other things with the guys. When it struck me how much time I was spending doing that ... I gave it up to spend more time with my wife and family. That was almost 25 years ago now.
