I'm not looking forward to supper tonight... We are waiting for my mother-in-law to announce that she is getting the boys' dog put to sleep. She is at least 20 years old by their calculations, and her hips and back legs aren't working too well anymore... It's going to suck to have her gone. :(

It'll suck more having her linger in an existence where her only joy is the attention from her "pack".

Keep in mind Neige, no one is truly gone until they are forgotten. So long as you hold her in your hearts she'll live forever.

I hear ya...as I mentioned elsewhere, I've been wrestling with the same decision about my 17 yr old Pom-X for about a week now. Knowing when the right moment has come is the hardest part (so far).
