BTDT, & it didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. Be assured that we're all McGuyvering our way thru life's challenges.

IowaMan 01-20-2009 03:48 PM

I learned last night that a unicorn is just a pony wearing a strap-on. :p

Lilith 01-20-2009 05:35 PM

I saw that too^^^^ LOL

I am proud today for the first time in a really long time

IowaMan 01-20-2009 06:32 PM

My "baby" niece turned 17 yrs old today. :faint:

PantyFanatic 01-20-2009 06:58 PM

I too think we may have a chance to work our way back to proud today.

jay-t 01-20-2009 09:28 PM

Because of work I did not get to see the Inaugration, only 1 question?

IowaMan 01-20-2009 10:13 PM

Probably not as hard as many would've liked.

Seriously though, I hope he is able to just sit back and enjoy life out of the public life for a bit. I mean, no matter what you may think of the job he did while in office, that's not a job I would wish upon anybody.

I am not a Bush supporter but I do truly believe he did what he thought was right for the country, and that's really about all we can ask of our President.

His is a Presidential Library that I would love to visit someday.

When we talked you said you were hoping to get a pink unicorn at the second coming.:( Sorry about that but he was busy yesterday, walking across the Potomac to take the oath.

You have to remember that after the place the USA has been taken, Daffy Duck would look like the messiah. I guess our media is as desperate for hope as the rest of us. I'm just glad that Obama is trying to deal with the realities at hand. At least he is making the right noises now.

Sorry to say that I also expect him to uphold the Constitution of this country and not be the head of an administration that I believe with intent and design willfully took it in another direction. My thoughts are that, that office is also bound to honor the conventions, treaties and agreements this country has pledged or by direction of the legislation, separate us from them.

That office and authority are not the reward to any privileged individual to fulfill their personal agenda. It does come with the responsibility to lead a nation based on ideals and goals that supersedes any lineage or immediate desire.

It is a position that calls for the highest integrity and has the gravest responsibility for all it's citizens today and for the future. Not one that most of us could do, would want or even can comprehend the gravity of. That is why it is on us to select a true "leader" and not just somebody to occupy the seat.

AZRedHot 01-21-2009 10:09 PM

scotzoidman 01-25-2009 12:54 AM

The recent death in the family is proving to be even more stressful for me than when it was a member of my own immediate family.

osuche 01-28-2009 11:55 AM

I'm not really an Obama fan, although I did vote for him. He was the best of the lot.

IAKaraokeGirl 07-15-2009 07:16 PM

I'm having to redefine my role in life, and it's not been easy.

Rhiannon 07-15-2009 08:14 PM

no its not karoke.. i am doing the same. considering going back to school etc

osuche 07-16-2009 04:22 PM

Like IAKG and Rhiannon, I have been redefining my life. For instance, this is my first visit to Pixies in 1.5 months - a new record for me

Pita 07-25-2009 09:00 PM

Going to get this silly fanny pack (with a pump and medication I have to take after chemo) off this afternoon around 1PM. YIPPEE! I hate that thing. Especially at night when you have to have it with you while sleeping. :(

CuteCoupleOz 08-15-2009 10:52 PM

I'm watching baseball on the tv.......gee, that's good. I still haven't worked Cricket out.

Spoken like a true American.

It makes more sense than than "Pushme-pullyu", aka Gridiron.

AZRedHot 08-16-2009 01:01 AM

I like that Pixies is always here, waiting for me, no matter how long I've been gone. :)

Toooooo true Oldfart. I was never ever a fan of gridiron when I lived there but Catch has turned me onto footy and ohhhmyyygawwwd am I hooked. I prefer rugby League the best and am a Cowboys fan. Yeah, I know, I should be a Bronco's fan but I like the Cowboys better.

*Whispers* ---> thinks gridiron is for wusses now.

Oldfart 08-16-2009 04:55 AM

*Whispers* ----> me too.

BTW, go Tigers.

dicksbro 08-16-2009 06:44 AM

Showers and thunderstorms today, tonight and tomorrow. So much for having a picnic. :(

What is a "Wickie"?

jseal 08-16-2009 07:54 AM

Yeah, right.

Oldfart 08-16-2009 09:01 AM

Seriously.

Google tells me it's self-lighting pipe or a cartoon character.

I have no knowledge of the term.

Wicket-keeper is the only other logical (to me) choice.
