That sometimes I disappear into the nether regions when there is a death in the family, or an elderly or ill friend needs me, or I just want to veg out away from EVERYTHING.

I've been in a bit of a funk, and the holidays aren't helping

I decided that next christmas I'm going home, not sure how many my mom will have left.

I've got that holiday funk thing going on a little bit too. I wish it was baseball season. :nod:

My Most Honorable Son #2 has spent quite a bit of time covering the back hill with pine straw and is now sliding down the hill in a box. lol

Band I was in about 6 years back. After making a semi-pro quality demo disk (& having my best friend/sound engineer doctor the master up for no $$$) the band ended badly...popped the disk in the CD player for the 1st time in years, thinking I was ready to deal with it now. Wrong!

I do not plan to go to the gym. I hate excercise for the sake of excercise. I plan to do things that burn calories that are fun. I can spend my life at the gym or I can spend time living life. My plan is to get excercise by walking more, playing sports, talking up physical hobbies etc.

This is my plan, too. I'll post my distances on the Pixies Power thread and if you need a virtual walking buddy, just holler :wave:

It looks like I'm not going to win any money in the college football bowl pool that I entered. :tear:

I didn't do well on the pro-football games this past weekend. Missed 3 of 4. :(

At least the Ravens came through. :)

I saved myself the torment of any bowl or pro football pools. I'm getting pretty good at the easy level of Guitar Hero though....

My mother-in-law passed away early Monday am (actually she didn't make it till midnite, but wasn't officially pronounced until later)...next few days promise to be very *interesting*, with a unique cast of characters (my in-laws) all coming together in one place, and Yours Truly playing mentor (& potential referee), having BTDT with my own parents in the last decade...

The funeral service was lovely, everyone had a good cry, & even the passing train during the graveside service was an interesting moment. :rolleyes2
