Nope...I've only once made pizza at home

Do you have a signature dish?

IowaMan 12-10-2006 03:21 PM

I like to think I make a mean chicken parmesan but my friends would tell you I'm a chili master. When I moved back here again in May (after being away for 14 years) the first thing some of my old friends asked was if my New Year's Day parties were going to continue and............ btw, do you still make that chili? :D

Do you ever watch cooking shows on TV?

osuche 12-10-2006 03:57 PM

Nope. I rarely watch TV

Do you have a secret talent?

IowaMan 12-10-2006 04:13 PM

Of the very few talents I do have none of them are secret. Although if I did have a secret talent would it really be right for me to speak of it here? ;)

I suppose if there's anything it would be that I have developed a very strong tolerance for pain.

Any secret talents you would be willing to divulge to us all? :D

Irezumi Kiss 12-10-2006 04:20 PM

My one real talent, which is art, isn't a secret at all! I have a dubious talent for drinking all night long but that isn't much of a secret, either!

If a homeless person asks you for money or spare change, do you give it to them, tell them you don't have any spare change or completely ignore/be indifferent to them?

ironhide 12-10-2006 07:28 PM

I used to give pocket change or a buck or two to the homeless in my younger days but after a few bad encounters with them not that im generalizing not all homeless are bums/scuzzoids. I have had a few ask for not just spare change but serious money like hey man can you spare a twenty? What the hell?? is that I usually just give them a buck or two or if they aren't too pushy ill give em a smoke one less to kill me

In this day in age it's scary to help them cause you know you want to truly help out in your heart of hearts but on the other side of that coin. God only knows what they will do with it eat, get high, get drunk, thats why i always tell em that the church I belong to runs a no questions asked shelter to help out it's non profit federally funded and doesn't require them to convert to catholosisim sorry bout the spelling there whew. and I try to be polite always but sometimes you gotta say no.

my question

If you had the wherewithall what is your dream car and why be specific and if you own it allready pick another one.

osuche 12-10-2006 09:48 PM

Hmmm....either a BMW 540 i wagon...black with a stick shift

or a Carrera C4 convertable, stick (of course) in silver

dicksbro 12-12-2006 07:14 AM

Hmmmm ... so many treats ...

I used to love sugar cookies, but I've had to ease off these given my diabetes. But, they were probably my favorite for a long time.

Do you mainly use home made or store bought ornaments on your Christmas tree?

IowaMan 12-12-2006 08:03 AM

More of a collection of ornaments received as gifts over the years and ones made by my nieces and my friend's children.

Do you put up a Christmas display outside your home or put up lights outside?

osuche 12-13-2006 01:39 PM

Usually I put up lights - but this year I only out up a Christmas wreath on our door. We'll be gone for the holidays

What's your best restorative cure for being sick?

IowaMan 12-13-2006 02:29 PM

Depends how sick I am. I'm a mind over matter kind of person but when I have to come up with a bit of help for a cold lots of Vitamin C, maybe some NyQuil or Alka Seltzer Plus Cold and a good night's sleep under a big comforter.
