I do believe the idea that OF is trying to convey is that they would be less likely to come down as quickly if he hired the professional than if he attempted it himself.

We did it! WRT Chessiecon, our goal was to have the number of pre-registrations meet or exceed our total attendance last year. Last's years through-the-door number: 366. As of the "close" of pre-registration Sunday, our number: 367.

We got news last night that our friend of over 50 years has taken a turn for the worst and is currently unresponsive. :( She's in hospice care and we're going to head out there this morning to try and be with her for a while. Please, keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

Aaaaaah! Only a week until Chessiecon!

My wife and I will be visiting 7 or 8 shut-ins from out church this morning. It always amazes me how no matter how hard it is getting going to make these visits ... it's always so rewarding afterwards. These are some really terrific people whose health or circumstances just don't let them get out like they used to. :thumbs:
