Hardcore porn was broadcast on the Indonesian parliament's internal information service, shocking journalists and bureaucrats who rely on the screens for updates on political events.
Hardcore images apparently taken from the internet filled the screens used by reporters, political staffers and visitors for about 15 minutes before security guards managed to shut it off, reporters said. It was not clear how the images appeared on the screens but House Speaker Marzuki Alie said whoever was responsible would be punished. "Whoever hacked the screens is insolent and will be reported to the authorities," he told reporters. The incident is sure to embarrass president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who has recently backed calls for stricter controls on the internet following a national scandal over an online celebrity sex clip. - AFP |
Getting a call from a good friend yesterday made me smile and getting to see some other good friends tomorrow will likely have the same effect. :)
I suspect both of those things will keep me smiling today, too. :) |
Today's Google logo for the Wizard of Oz. :D Very clever.

I was interviewed for a new part time job. I will be giving notice at the old one tomorrow. No more selling shoes. I will be doing deliveries for a local drug store. No more weekends or nights or holidays.

Finding this quote in a CNN article this morning, “I’m not even joking; balls are creamy and delicious..."
It was from a chef who was talking about animals parts that are surprisingly delicious.. But that just made me giggle. |
Watching the Anatomy of Sex while talking to him on the phone and them using the example of this couple making out in an elevator.

GDACS report on the Guam earthquakes.
I hope that their science is better than their maths. "Damage The affected region has low level of urban area (0%) and a low level of cultivated area (0%). In urban areas more damage can be expected than in cultivated or natural areas. (Data source) Radius (km) urban areas cultivated areas other 200 0% 0% 1000% 100 0% 0% 1000% 50 0% 0% 1000% 10 0% 0% 1000% " The figures line up on my edit screen LOL |
In search of the missing decimal point.

A news article on the Oz ABC site.
A Malaysian astrophysicist, Mazlan Othman, has denied British media reports that she is the United Nations (UN) ambassador for space aliens. She says there no such job title, but if aliens did get in touch the UN would be the ideal place to start. Ms Othman, whose official title is Head of the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, says that life in outer space is likely to be bacteria. "When I mean life, it's not people like you and I, but it could just be bacteria. When we're talking about life, we're not talking about green aliens, okay," she said. "Sometimes this is the connotation of when we say extra-terrestrial life, it always must be green aliens with large, lovely eyes. But no, we're talking about bacteria." |
Knowing the bread I mailed to him got there! :D
|
And extra-terrestrial life is still referred to by the serious working scientist as "LGM".

One of my photos from the Canadian trip, taken a Peggy's Cove. The waters there were full
of shipwrecks, and I wonder if this is one of the victims. It is coming up for halloween, you know. The photo is entirely un-retouched, save resizing it to fit here. |
Ooooooooooo spooky.
|
I didn't see it until I cleared the camera that night.
|
That's really cool, OF!

Unreal!!

Cool pic! I'm smiling because my coffee is Marshmello Mocha flavored.

My one girlie crawling up in my lap and wrapping me around her the way she wanted to be held and me realizing she is way better than I'll ever be at communicating what I need despite her autism.

That is quite sweet.

The thought of WildIrish hooking up a web cam so we could (perhaps) capture the look on his neighborhood jerk’s face when he smacks his two–by-heavy up against the side of the armored letterbox!
