picking up Most Honorable Kid #2 from an overnight school trip

Seeing my dog, Kira, eating out of her bowl. Okay, attempting to eat out of her bowl. She has a 22inch incision with stitches and staples, down her tummy, from last week. She has the plastic collar on and an old T-shirt around her middle...to keep her from getting at the stitches. She is good at angling the collar so she can get water, but the food bowl is another thing. She did trap the chihuahua with it, though. :)

THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A TRUE STORY:

Outside Bristol Zoo there is a car park for 150 cars and 8 coaches.

There also used to be a very pleasant attendant with a ticket machine charging cars £1 and coaches £5.

This parking attendant worked there for all of 25 years , then one day just didn't turn up for work...
"Ho hum", said Bristol Zoo Management - "better phone up the City Council and get them to send a new parking attendant" ......

"Err no", said the Council, "that car park is your responsibility" ...
"Err no", said Bristol Zoo Management, "the attendant was employed by the City Council, wasn't he?" .....

"Err NO!"

Sitting in his villa in Spain is a bloke who had been taking daily the car park fees amounting to an estimated £400 per day at Bristol Zoo for the last 25 years...

Weighed myself and I've slipped below 200 lbs (198) for the first time in years (at least on our home scale). :)

That's down from 242 a couple of years ago. :yikes:

First Time Great-Grandpa Today
 

At 2:06 this afternoon, our granddaughter gave birth to a 9lb 15oz baby boy making it the first great-grandchild for my wife and I. Big guy was just over 20" long. If I sound like a proud great-grandpa it's probably for good reason. I am! :D

Now we'll be awaiting our eighth grandchild due this coming October! :thumbs:

Today was the last day of school.

And for that DB, you get to sleep with great-grandma.
