The good news is that we've got two of our sons at home and two others that have stopped by to check on us and offer to pick up anything we might need.
Haven't seen our daughters (2 of 3 live out of state), but we have talked to them on the phone and my wife stays in contact on Facebook. |
The bad news is...well, I'm nnot gonna shit all over your parade. Stay safe, DB.
Thanks, gg, you too.
The good news is that … it's going to be warmer and sunny here today. That is something good, isn't it. |
The bad news is,t eh warmer weather is likely to do nothing at all to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The good news is that with China and others starting to see the virus easing off a bit, maybe we'll soon follow. Hope so anyway.

The bad news is, as of 2000 last night, Maryland is officially on lockdown. You can go out for 'essential' things, and that includes things like physical or mental health, but do so alone, or in a small family group. Absolutely no gathering in groups of more than 10, and even that number isa problem.

Same is true here. Good news is that to accommodate the higher risk groups (like seniors) stores are offering morning shopping times (an hour or two depending on the store) for "seniors only." Fast food places have drive thru window service only. Even medical facilities (like Prompt Care facilities) have limited staffing and serve only emergency cases or appointment only cases. Roads are definitely seeing lower traffic levels. So, while inconvenient, we're getting by without too much difficulty. It will be nice to see this over with, that's for sure.

The bad news is that "over with" could be years, literally. The flu pandemic that started in 1918 (I hate calling it the "Spanish" flu, it started in the US, and spread from there) lasted 2-3 years.

I shore hate thinkin' dat culd be happen'in dis time. Maybe we get sum good news n' it be ober with sum time dis year.
I'm with you, Goofy, but the bad news is that we could be wrong. :(
The good news is, we still have hard-working health care workers who are doing their jobs (and sometimes, putting their lives on the line for it).
Dat fer shore. Gotta takes our hats off to dem folks and to all whose been tryin' to be of help! Da bad ol' news is dat dey gotta be wearin' out from all they been asked to do.
The good news is, medical schools are helping the situation by graduating students early.
The bad news is that they're entering a profession that today is a fairly high risk one.
The good news is, that hasn't' seemed to have stopped anyone.
 for their efforts. |
