I'm so grateful we're expecting an early heatwave. I'm looking forward to seeing how high my electricity bill can go.

To save a little money, we've decided to not use our furnace this winter, but, to keep a candle lit on our dining room table.

I do not have the windows open and the heat off today.

I wasn't thrilled to hear that a dear friend was out of ICU and into a private room at the hospital.

It is not still unseasonably warm.

I sure wish I had some snow to shovel.

I hope when they move Ayers Rock here that they locate it beside Mt. Rushmore which is being relocated here, too. (I understand they'll build most of the mountain from silt dredged from the Illinois River. :)
