One of my baseball players got on base tonight for the first time. He's about four foot nothing and really doesn't know what he's doing. We play everybody and the team we played tonight put their stud pitcher in for the last couple of innings. This is a 7th grader who is 6'2" and throws the damn thing about 85 mph, seriously. My little guy stood up there and actually fouled off a pitch before he drew a walk.

I was scared shitless that he may get hit by a pitch.

Little Mayhem was really really active during the ultrasound scan. S/He also waved at us a few times :D We have a new due date, the 23rd of December.....however I think that s/he will be born on the 26th, as my other kids were born on the 26th of the month that they were due :D

The fact that out of the blue I sent Lizz a PM today saying that her scan must be coming up sometime soon and wishing her well with it- only to read this now and find out it was today! Spooky!

Sooooooo glad all is looking well for little Mayhem! And the best news is, of course that the worst part of being pregnant is virtually over - until the last fortnight, that is!

i was outside a few minutes ago and saw a grackle (i think it was a grackle) take on a turkey vulture mid-air! brave little guy
