Actually, it made me cry, but they were tears of happiness, so I smiled too.

An email update about my friend who has spent the better part of the last month and a half in the hospital. They released her to home care last night. She's still using the feeding tube and is on IV antibiotics but she's out of the hospital. :D

And my doctor shaking his head and saying to me, "Well, looks like the antibiotic is working. No need to send you to St. Luke's." Gave me a little smile too but not as large as the one from the news of my friend.
