No doubt training Solon to be a gator hunter in case there's a southern PAGAN one of these days! ;)

IowaMan 11-17-2006 10:14 AM

My beagle (Sarge) jumping into my lap and hitting the keyboard with his paw. He then looked at me as if checking to see if he was going to get in trouble. When he realized he wasn't going to he did it again and then looked at me as if he expected to get a treat for it. Cute little shit. :)

I also got a smile early this morning while watching a local newscast. The weatherman from one of the stations is retiring today after 32 years at the station and they showed some clips from a roast that they had for him last night. Been watching that guy since I was a little IowaBoy. :)

Floating holidays

Oldfart 11-17-2006 12:47 PM

Floating holidays?

osuche 11-17-2006 12:48 PM

LOL. Extra holiday days that you can take any time you want -- the policy is designed to allow non-Christian denominations to take days off that don't count against their vacation.

I think I'm easier to please than even I'd realized. We have a date tonight. We're going to Costco and then to dinner and I'm excited about it!

I need to get my nose out of my textbooks more.

A man's smile when I blew a kiss at him

IowaMan 11-19-2006 09:28 AM

This one was actually yesterday afternoon but I'm still smiling at it this morning. While watching the Iowa football game yesterday my beagle showed his sentiments towards the way they were playing better than anything I could ever have screamed that the TV.

Iowa's QB had just thrown his 2nd or 3rd interception of the game and was jumping up and down making a flaming jackass of himself on the field and my dog decided to go right in front of the TV and hike his leg right on the floor almost as if in protest.

Normally he probably would have ended up staying down in the basement for the rest of the afternoon but yesterday it just felt like he was showing me how he felt about the game. Thankfully he did it on the hardwood floor and not the carpet.
