Just a few minutes ago, finding the address and phone number of some former neighbors ... calling them ... to learn they're in the process of moving to Orland from S. Carolina. Maybe now we'll figure out a time to get down to Florida one of these days, months or years.

Anyway, hadn't talked to them for almost two years, so that was a real treat.

my son turned 9 years old today!

Taking an afternoon nap, and then getting Chinese food (aka Crack) for dinner.

Him, reaching over to hold my hand when I least expected it.

Getting the living room back to normal.

The cat (Mr. Abner) cuddling up for a good chin scratch.

Today I received a text message from hubby saying "I've got great news but you have to wait until I get home until I tell you"........it was very great!

Lots of things today ...

A surprize package following by a short but nice conversatrion between my wife and I with someone we think is a pretty special person.

Then getting to visit with some relations from Texas and his brother who lives in Peoria and then all of us going to watch my son coach an 8th grade basketball game this evening (winning 44-19).

It just don't get much better than that.

Third interview tomorrow. :D :cool:

Birthday plans.

Seeing the progress the wounded GI I've talked about here before has made in the past few months. He is a double amputee and today was the first time I've seen him with his "new" legs. I even commented on him wearing his legs and the lady standing next to him gave me a look of "how dare you say something like that". Both he and his wife smiled and said that so much progress has been made - he rarely uses his wheel chair anymore. He was headed back to DC to get his medical discharge from the Army and his wife is so proud of him (so am I to be honest). It is my privilege to know this young man and it brought tears to my eyes to see how proud and happy his 3 sons are with their dad.
