Been super-busy lately, with a friend's father's funeral, another friend dying, and trying to get this: http://chessiecon.org/ together.

I have been awake for 21 hours. I have made 2 apple pies (from scratch). One just put in the oven and the other is already cool and wrapped up for tomorrow.

Had a great time yesterday ... good food and just a nice day all around. Today, I think we're going to a movie. :)

My mom and I just bagged the homemade turkey soup for some pizza and wings. We both decided we were over it.

Wings ... now that sounds good ... and, at this early hour (almost 1AM), I'm not really sure why. :shrug:

Number two: I got my oscar cichlid and pictus cat fish today. So far so good.

I had an oscar when I was in high school. Unfortunately, he jumped out of the tank in the middle of the night. I'm hoping my new guy doesn't do something similar. Currently the two fish seem to be doing quite well. The pictus adjusted quite quickly, but the oscar hasn't gotten his color back just yet. He doesn't appear to be stressed, he's just bland in color.

I have Cory catfish. We started with 2 but have 5 now.

Grrr, the finances from Chessiecon are being a pain, mainly because the freakin' hotel won't give us an actual finalized bill.

Shitty day, indeed. Gives me a flashback to the day when a "top gun" Navy pilot crashed his jet into a house in Antioch some years back, killing 3 people inside.

#2 son was in a private home day care just a couple of blocks away from the crash. Lot of frantic parents that day (including me).

I can tell you that PF is fine and well and we had a lovely time today..... :p

Not recently, and that's probably a good thing, the last time it did, I nearly got knocked over-I was showering when the 5.8 earthquake hit this area.
