I'm just glad to know he's okay. :boink:

gekkogecko 10-05-2014 07:36 AM

And I'm willing to bet that Bibi was hoping that he's more than "just OK".

Lets Go Os!

Not to change the subject, but, I think our summer is over. We've now had several days with lows in the upper 30s or low 40s and highs in the 60s. Kind of chilly.

Oldfart 10-08-2014 06:14 AM

Summer? They are worse than any winter here.

I know, when we get a heavy snow and the temps fall to near 0F, I send you a PM so you can come over and help shovel in our beautiful non-summer weather. :D

With all this stuff falling, aimed at me, you wonder why I take my time?

Lilith 10-10-2014 07:59 PM

BIBI 10-10-2014 10:50 PM

I am going to tell you about how proud I am of my 18 year old grandson who today, after working for an electrician as a co-op student and then as a fulltime helper since graduation has been signed up to be their new apprentice.

Yeah for Zac!

Next to Normal is a energetic, tough musical.

Lilith 10-11-2014 06:22 AM

That is awesome. He will be so very employable

Lilith 11-08-2014 08:35 PM

My baby cut his long curly hair off. About a foot of curls.

Oldfart 11-08-2014 10:57 PM

A donation to one of the cancer wig charities?

dicksbro 11-09-2014 02:11 AM

I think today will be a bit warmer and so maybe I'll get the car washed. Poor thing is feeling neglected but the cold and rains have made washing it kind of a bad idea recently.

Interstellar is a satisfying Science Fiction film I can recommend. It has two plotlines, one a Love Story, one a Hero's Tale, which resolve at the end. It's the Hero's Tale that rides the parallel lines of Quantum Mechanics and Relativity Theory, and that's the base, Science Fiction story line. There are few physical violations for the purist to whine about.

Oldfart 11-10-2014 03:41 PM

It's on my list.

Lilith 11-11-2014 02:07 PM

I'm at the Chicago Art Institute.

BIBI 11-12-2014 01:27 AM

I am half in the bag from enjoying a few pina coladas

Oldfart 11-12-2014 06:34 AM

Hey, that's my quote. :)

dicksbro 11-14-2014 12:38 AM

We just had our first snow of the season. Wasn't much to talk about ... maybe half an inch ... but it was covering the streets and some grassy areas. Pretty much gone by yesterday afternoon. But, that's number 1.

gekkogecko 11-14-2014 07:31 AM

We had a few wet flakes (the kind that fall from the sky, not the kind that walk around, we've had enough of those forever) last night, but nothing noticeable.

BIBI 11-14-2014 09:32 AM

no snow yet..... :p

dicksbro 11-15-2014 03:46 AM

Expecting maybe another inch or so either this afternoon or tomorrow.

Lord Snow 11-15-2014 06:01 AM

No snow in my area, but it's fallen to 22 F.

BIBI 11-15-2014 12:58 PM

I have lots to do and no ambition to start any of it...............guess another coffee is in order. :coffee:

dicksbro 11-16-2014 02:56 AM

Sounds like a good idea, BIBI. Ended up, we didn't get the snow. You probably already figured how sad I was not to have go out and shovel the drive. Right?

gekkogecko 11-16-2014 10:58 AM

No, DB, your ultimate ambition is to go out and shovel Bibi's drive after a heavy snowfall.

BIBI 11-16-2014 11:21 AM

BIBI doesn't have a driveway to shovel anymore, sold my house (thank goodness) Underground parking is wonderful in winter.....

dicksbro 11-17-2014 03:16 AM

Well, we got our snow yesterday ... less than or close to an inch. Nothing exciting. No shoveling required. :)

Lord Snow 11-17-2014 07:30 AM

We're having "snow". It doesn't stick the snow, it barely sticks to the grass, and it's barely enough to be a problem except people can't drive if there is a cloud in the sky.

BIBI 11-17-2014 10:11 AM

The snow is here too, but nothing to worry about....yet ;)

gigi 11-17-2014 05:50 PM

No snow on the ground here, but it will be 14 degrees when I leave for work tomorrow morning while feeling like -2. BRRRRRR!!!!

Lilith 11-17-2014 08:42 PM
