kleclere 10-03-2012 06:08 PM

Well definately looking like a split is coming.

Lord Snow 10-03-2012 07:09 PM

Sorry to hear that kleclere. They do suck the worst.

Oldfart 10-05-2012 07:19 AM

Sad days sometime lead to better kleclere.

dicksbro 10-06-2012 04:19 AM

We'll certainly make that our hope, anyway!

gekkogecko 10-10-2012 03:10 PM

Today is the birthday of the mammal I married.

Oldfart 10-10-2012 07:38 PM

Bah, mixed marriages! Next thing we know, you'll be trysting with an amphibian. There would be tears before teatime if you had tear ducts, young fellow.

Lord Snow 10-13-2012 09:07 PM

I made chili. It'll taste even better tomorrow.

Lilith 10-13-2012 09:11 PM

^^^^^truth.

I cooked the lasagna I put together Thursday, today. Garfield would have approved.

Oldfart 10-13-2012 09:35 PM

Spaghetti boll, two days old, fried to finalise the caramelisation. Mmmmmmmm

Lilith 10-25-2012 10:16 PM

STO would have turned 40 this past Tuesday

Aqua 10-26-2012 01:23 AM

Bastard should still be here so we could all celebrate it together.

Happy Birthday, Skip.

*sigh*

dicksbro 10-26-2012 05:33 AM

Skip, whereever you are ... you're not forgotten and like Aqua said, wish you were here so we could celebrate the day together.

Oldfart 10-26-2012 07:55 AM

Yup.

And tomorrow Heidi would have been 1 and Thursday my daughter would have been 17.

I fucking hate these 2 weeks.

Oldfart 10-27-2012 12:45 AM

How are you coping with Sandy?

Lilith 10-27-2012 09:00 AM

Trying to distract me from wallowing in misery with your sexy hurricane talk???? No sign of her here. It is a beautiful cloudy fall day. I am going to go watch marching bands perform all day. x

Oldfart 10-27-2012 09:50 AM

Damn, but it was a good try.

dicksbro 10-27-2012 05:57 PM

They have marching bands performing in hurricanes? I bet the time just flies by ... along with the bands.

:D

Lilith 10-27-2012 06:29 PM

It was quite the day for all the flag girls.

Jeez that storm's predicted to go close to Baltimore.

Bunker down jseal.

gekkogecko 10-29-2012 11:56 AM

Local (county) bus completely cancelled service for today. Not getting to tmy regular rehabbing job.

Early voting cancelled for today & tomorrow.

Will have to end up working Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at early voting, provided they can open (my particular center has a back-up generator, so we will probably be able to do that).

Lilith 10-29-2012 05:15 PM

WI has lost power already.

Oldfart 10-29-2012 07:03 PM

Wild Irish or the West indies?

Yeah, B'more has basically closed down. Fortunately I make my coffee with distilled water, so we should be OK there. The food situation is good also, and we store my BIL’s TPN supplies in a separate mini-fridge. So, barring an extended power outage, we should be able to get along if we must.

The burbs might have a tough time of it, what with downed power lines, etc.

Oldfart 10-29-2012 07:09 PM

It'll be a good test of the brickwork.

Save power for Pixies posts.

We lost power for a couple of hours, with numerous flickers before & afterwards. The rain is down to mere drizzle at this point, with little to no wind. Not too horrible in my neck of the woods, although the road in & out of my household I usually use was closed for a while due to flooding.

It WAS a bit blustery at times!

WildIrish 10-30-2012 02:04 PM

Tis true...I'm powerless.

Thank goodness for work! :p

Cool and windy here, yesterday, although we did have sunshine and that helped. :boink:

gekkogecko 10-31-2012 04:58 AM

It's actually gotten late October-cold, as it should have been about two weeks ago.

WildIrish 10-31-2012 01:25 PM

We have electricity in 7 out of 10 properties...including home! Sweet!

Thanks again for thinking of me!

Lilith 10-31-2012 04:27 PM

Pity. I like you powerless. As long as you still have phone battery. ;)

Pita 10-31-2012 06:38 PM

It's been like forever since I've been on Pixies and only a second to make me realize how much I've missed ya'll.

jay-t 10-31-2012 07:44 PM

Last nite all the kids were trick or treating ,and with 5 grandkids under 10 had a good time .Until I explained about the once a year 30% candy tax payable to papa. Seems they never heard about it.Finially they gave me 1 snickers bar.Got to teach them civic duty a little better I guess..

It's a two way street, Tess. We missed you too.

dicksbro 11-03-2012 02:46 AM

It's always so special to see Pixies come back home for a visit!

PantyFanatic 11-03-2012 11:30 AM

It's just past noon and I've had 7, SEVEN automated phone calls from political entities that exempted themselves from the Do Not Call list. If the many, MANY, MANY…. BILLIONS of dollars spent the last two years in all levels of direct political campaigning (not to consider the incalculable indirect cost) was applied to the national debt, would there be one?
