 ...is zucchini bread odd in Tennessee?

Lord Snow 06-23-2010 03:06 PM

I hadn't heard of it till you typed it.

Neige 06-23-2010 03:10 PM

Oh gosh, it's so good! (And doesn't taste like zucchini :D )

Edit: Not that there's anything wrong with zucchini. :p

Aqua 06-23-2010 03:17 PM

I haven't had it for some time, but it's not an odd thing here.

And it is good. :D

Lord Snow 06-23-2010 03:38 PM

In my opinion there is only application for zucchini and it's not eating. :D

Neige 06-24-2010 12:20 PM

Pretty deep red begonias :D

It's funny, last year I planted my garden in shades of orange, while this year, I'm definitely leaning more towards reds, deep pinks and candy-stripes.

Oldfart 06-24-2010 05:09 PM

. . . .a hangover.

PantyFanatic 06-24-2010 05:17 PM

Zucchini bread is good and the best part is ....

A sore throat, a runny nose, a headache and that general crappy feeling!

Lord Snow 06-25-2010 05:22 AM

I would suggest a lot of green tea and orange juice in that case Fang.

I've got a job to get to that I'm losing in about a month. Fun isn't it?

dicksbro 06-25-2010 06:24 AM

... to get ready to leave for Indianapolis in just a little while. We're going to visit with our daughter and her family this weekend. :)

Oldfart 06-25-2010 08:47 AM

a father-of-the-bride speech to write.

Lilith 06-25-2010 02:42 PM

awwwww My suggestion is to avoid mentioning a dowry :p

Oldfart 06-25-2010 04:20 PM

The kids are paying for a lot of the wedding themselves, as is the way of youth at the moment.

osuche 06-28-2010 09:50 PM

I've got smiles because OF's family is getting bigger.

I've also got a 80F house that needs to cool down :(

Oldfart 06-29-2010 02:17 AM

80F?

We dream of houses that cool. LOL

dicksbro 06-29-2010 05:27 AM

... a suitcase that's almost ready to take out to the car.

OF, I have become one of those heat and cold intolerant California wimps. I swear, California makes people weak. Knowing that doesn't make it feel any less hot though.

I've got Fage yogurt and a tall cup of Vanilla Roobios tea.

Lord Snow 06-29-2010 09:46 AM

I don't know about California, but I know that living in the south makes people cold intolerant to no end. If it drops to 60F people around me are complaining, "I'm cold, turn the heat on, Lord Snow where is your jacket?"

osuche 06-30-2010 10:25 AM

a cuppa hot tea, a comfy couch, and trash bins that need to be taken into the garage. Sigh.

Aqua 06-30-2010 12:54 PM

no couch, comfy or otherwise, and desire one greatly. Watching TV and movies from a camping chair has gotten tiresome.

Oldfart 06-30-2010 05:56 PM

Lounge? Hammock is the word.

Neige 06-30-2010 07:54 PM

I've got a beer. :D

Lord Snow 06-30-2010 07:57 PM

I've got a pizza, that's about all that's good that's happened within the past 48 hrs.

Aqua 07-01-2010 01:33 PM

to go to bed earlier than 3am. Seriously.

AZRedHot 07-01-2010 03:31 PM

^^^ Seriously, dude. Don't you know you're old now???

I've got sweat trickling down my back. It's 86 in the house, and the A/C guy is late.

Lord Snow 07-01-2010 07:16 PM

AZ, there are much better ways to get all sweaty than sitting in a house that's 86.

Neige 07-02-2010 09:08 PM

A nice tan! :D (And just a couple spots where I'm quite burnt, where I missed the sunscreen. :o )

Lilith 07-02-2010 10:43 PM

Really great friends who always help me to see it through.

Oldfart 07-03-2010 07:11 PM

A funeral to prepare for. She's at peace now.

Lilith 07-03-2010 10:11 PM

((hugs)) so sorry.

Lord Snow 07-03-2010 11:32 PM

Sorry to hear my friend. I know what's that like and it's never fun. Though one thing I've always found comfort in is discussing how the person lived and loved.

dicksbro 07-04-2010 03:41 AM

Sorry for your loss, OF. Heart felt sympathies from the Mrs. and me.

AZRedHot 07-04-2010 01:33 PM

I'm sorry, OF.

Aqua 07-04-2010 05:11 PM

My condolences, OF.

Oldfart 07-04-2010 05:18 PM

Thanks all.

My sister converted to Islam a number of years ago, so the trip to the Mosque this morning and then to the cemetary will be informative.

I'm fine with it, at least for the moment.

Neige 07-05-2010 09:32 PM

I've got a squirrel in the house. The girl upstairs (who moved out at noon) knocked on the door to tell us at 4 this morning. I'm not too worried about it - if it gets into my apartment, my kitty is gonna have a blast. :D

Lord Snow 07-05-2010 09:43 PM

The only squirrel I like if Foamy. You can look him up on youtube. Very funny stuff.

Neige 07-10-2010 02:59 PM

I've got a man that likes scorpions. :hair:

Lord Snow 07-10-2010 07:31 PM

They're cool to look at, but that's about it. I prefer fuzzy pets.
