Growing up, we opened my dad's family's presents on Christmas Eve, our immediate family and my mom's family's stuff on Christmas day.

I let my children open one Christmas Eve--usually new pajamas to wear--and everything else on Christmas morning.

Open new PJ's and shuffle them off to bed? That's mean!

I'm a practical gift giver. Boring, I know. But useful!
