Ah, PF. I taught you well.

PantyFanatic 09-09-2011 07:44 PM

scotzoidman 09-09-2011 10:23 PM

Finally got the new roof on today, at maximum inconvenience.
Now to figure out a way to pay for it, a further inconvenience.

dicksbro 09-13-2011 02:31 AM

So far, Mother Nature has been giving us pretty darn good weather to start this fall. Hope she keeps it up until ... well, since we're wishing ... March or April. :wish:

AZRedHot 09-13-2011 10:42 PM

It's raining here, like 4th night in a row. I thought the monsoon was over, but evidently, it's not surrendering yet.

tizana 09-14-2011 02:13 AM

Today l'm having a "me" day... doing things that l want to do, not sure what that is yet  x

dicksbro 09-14-2011 04:45 AM

Welcome to Pixies-Place, tizana. Enjoy the day.

tizana 09-14-2011 08:14 AM

Thank you dicksbro :kisser: x

Noah 09-14-2011 12:27 PM

Damn, this week needs to hurry the hell up and be over! Feel like shit, damn cold/flu thingys got me by the short and curlies BIG time!

Blahhhhhhhh

Oldfart 09-14-2011 07:25 PM

I went to get new glasses yesterday, and my glasses girl told me that there's a three week flu going around.

tizana 09-15-2011 03:59 AM

My internet went down for 18 hours, l wasn't impressed, but it's back now  x

dicksbro 09-15-2011 04:56 AM

We're not quite there yet, but we may dip into the upper 30s this morning before daybreak.

sodaklostsoul 09-15-2011 11:10 AM

DB, we got down to 33 overnight. Frost everywhere!!

gekkogecko 09-15-2011 01:47 PM

Finally finished re-arranging the desk/computer in the room. Even cleaned a bit of it.

Lord Snow 09-15-2011 09:52 PM

It's been a long day.

AZRedHot 09-15-2011 10:22 PM

Had waffles for dinner. Brinner rules!

Lord Snow 09-15-2011 11:24 PM

I prefer pancakes to waffles, but I agree. Brinner rules.

Oldfart 09-15-2011 11:52 PM

Does anywhere do savoury waffles?

Wondering for my next trip over there.

AZRedHot 09-16-2011 01:27 AM

I honestly don't know. The thought never occurred to me--I like sweets at breakfast. But if you come through Tucson, I'll find a recipe and make you some. :) We've got an airshow here, too, every other year.

Have you ever had chicken and waffles?

Lord Snow 09-16-2011 05:19 AM

Duh, Waffle House.

Oldfart 09-16-2011 07:06 PM

Chicken Little was right.

Lord Snow 09-16-2011 10:09 PM

I just heard about an 80 year old pilot losing control during an airplane race and crashing into the stands. Him and two spectators died, many injured. He flew during WWII and was a stunt pilot in a few movies. He was flying a P31.

Oldfart 09-16-2011 10:21 PM

He was flying a P-51 highly modified racer called prophetically "Galloping Ghost".

sodaklostsoul 09-17-2011 12:36 AM

I was over qualified to work part time for a gas station. I have over 20 years of retail but they don't believe in customer service, just get them in and out. I have bad habits since I have experience they said. Was the strangest interview I had been to since I was told many years ago that she couldn't hire me or I would have her job.

WTF??

We've got a new chicken and waffle place here in town called May's Counter. It is made of awesome; it's our new favorite joint.

The news cast I saw said P-31. I could have misheard or they could have misread.

gekkogecko 09-17-2011 05:17 PM

Further pursuant to the air race crash: this morning, the MSM was quoting witnesses as saying it looked like a trim tab had come off the plane, and the pilot used what little control he had left to him to try and direct the crash onto the tarmac, away from the crowd.

Oldfart 09-17-2011 06:15 PM

That may account for the barrel roll references.

Lord Snow 09-17-2011 07:13 PM

Sounds plausible to me.

dicksbro 09-18-2011 01:26 AM

Flying is when you throw yourself at the ground ... and miss. :spin:

Oldfart 09-18-2011 01:47 AM

This fella missed missing.

The problem is practicing the missing part. It can be quite painful.

Jax 09-18-2011 07:59 AM

I bought a, what I hope is a soda, from an Asian grocery store. The name of the drink/soda is "Grass Jelly drink". Should be interesting. We'll see.

Oldfart 09-18-2011 08:03 PM

I'll be interested in your take on the drink.

dicksbro 09-19-2011 04:34 AM

I would be interested, too. Grass Jelly drink?

dicksbro 09-19-2011 04:47 AM

Getting ready to head over to Indianapolis on Wednesday. We're going to watch our daughter's kids while she and her hubby fly down to Florida for a wedding. We'll be there until Sunday, but I'll have my laptop and so I should be able to stay in touch. :boink:

AZRedHot 09-19-2011 10:28 AM

In AZ, we have 30-year driver's licenses (yes, that was not a typo), but I just got a letter from the DMV that says I have to update my picture every 12 years and pay for a new license. So what's the point of the 30-year license? Why aren't they 12-year licenses? My state brings stupid to new levels daily.

Lord Snow 09-19-2011 05:37 PM

Why 12 years? You'd think 10 or 15. Not 12.

Oldfart 09-19-2011 09:10 PM

The longest we can get a license for is 5 years.

This way the parasites can make the most of price rises.
