County fair in town until Saturday. Been fun so far.
|
I have poison ivy and it's made my leg swell up. I hate this crap.
|
Sorry to hear that, m'lord. Need some help with your calamine lotion?
|
Walked outta work to head home...flat tyre! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
|
Don't worry, it's only flat on the bottom, fangtasia. :)
Looking forward to a couple of Pixies coming to town this afternoon. :line::line::line: |

Actually what I probably need is a shot of steroids in my ass and some heavy duty antihistamines. What I have is caladryl and benadryl. |
Lord Snow vinegar can help with the itching. It stings like hell, but the itching should subside until you can get hold of antihistamines.
I had a good day at work today. |
I have the benadryl, just got out of a epsom salt bath, and reapplied my caladryl. Hopefully this will help.
|
The Peoria Chiefs (baseball) won last night 8-2 :line:. Wonderful fireworks display after the game. I told Scarecrow and Mrs. King that had we lost, it would have been a ladyfinger and two sparklers. :)

Mr. AZRH caught a baby gecko in the shower the other evening. I snapped a couple of pix before I set him free. You can see how tiny he is compared to the plate.
|
Neat AZ.
|
Oooooooooooooooooo.
*is having a cute overload* |
It wouldn't look out of place here, except the colours are a little strong.
|
A great weekend is unfortunately over. :(
But, there'll be another one day! :) |
Just got off the phone with my high school crush. I don't think he ever knew, or knows now. But I'd still do him. :)
|
ATTENTION: AZRH's HS crush ... if you're a member, her last post ^^^^ is worth reading. :D

It has been since July 11th I have fought to get test results and referrals in place so my Most Honorable #2 Son can see a hematologist at a university hospital in my state. Today I was told they hope to have it all set up tomorrow. Really. Really.
|
Better late than never?
It was a really shitty day. I could go into detail, but then I'd be here for an hour ranting and I'm not going to waste your good time. |

So glad to hear it. Navigating the medical industry is enough to enrage even the most placid soul, especially, I imagine, when you're a mom and it's your baby you're trying to help. Keeping my fingers crossed on all counts for MHS2 and your family. |
Went out to a place called "Wildlife Prairie State Park" yesterday to do my walking. Got in about a mile but it was threatening rain so I stopped briefly at their gift shop. Sure enough, I came out and felt a drip or two, so got in my car and started home (about 25-30 miles). Then, the floodgates opened. Traffic on the Interstate was down to 40 - 45 mph. Got to Morton, it let up a bit and I thought I was going to get into the house without getting too wet. Ha! Just as I opened the door the clouds let loose again. :(

Great, the Lizard has gone feral. I'll shoot him before he hurts someone. LOL.
I can't a shoot an animal. People are okay, but not animals. LOL |

I love that movie. |
Quote:
Yup, is a good movie. |
I just watched The Time Tunnel 2002 pilot episode.
If you plan to watch this, look away, as this is a major spoiler. The plot centres on an intervention team sent back to WW2 to save the future. They go back in US army clothing. Two of the team are women, one a Negro. No-one bats an eyelid, even though there were no female frontline combat troops in WW2, and even more visibly, combat troops were segregated. Is this sanitising history, or ignorance of the same? |
I suspect that by sending back the team, they necessarily altered the space-time continuum such that they changed WWII irrevocably, including the acceptance of heretofore banned combat personnel. Time travel: it'll fuck things up considerably.
:D |
:faint:

If Dr Who will let them. Have you been watching Torchwood? |
Quote:
No, sir. Should I be? And also, do you know why DB is fainting? Shall we administer smelling salts? |
It's quite simple. As the Mock Toad said in Alice in Wonderland, "Reeling and Writhing, of course, to begin with, and then the different branches of arithmetic -- Ambition, Distraction, Uglification, and Derision.
Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense." :spin: |
I suspect that Torchwood would appeal to you. It started light and easy, and has developed darker and darker.
|
Waiting for Irene .
Stay safe East Coast Pixies. |

I'll check it out, thanks! |
