Banana bread is awesome  Love the stuff!

Tell you something, what can I tell you? Oh I know, I can tell you that I love Pixies, even when I'm not here for long periods of time.

Coaster 08-07-2011 11:31 AM

I've missed having FWM here!!!!

PantyFanatic 08-08-2011 08:41 AM

A lot of us have missed her. :boohoo:

But it's great to be looking up her, .....I mean seeing her here again. :cabbagep::

Oldfart 08-08-2011 07:32 PM

What he ^^^^ said.

dicksbro 08-09-2011 03:05 AM

Yeah. :boink:

Lord Snow 08-09-2011 05:41 PM

The gauges for my ranchero still haven't come in. I'm getting somewhat impatient.

AZRedHot 08-09-2011 07:42 PM

Had my first series of pain (or rather anti-pain) shots today. Keep your fingers crossed for me for a good result!

Lilith 08-10-2011 08:18 AM

Steroids or Lidocaine (type)? I've had both and gotten good results with both.

AZRedHot 08-10-2011 10:37 AM

Low-dose steroids, lidocaine, and something called Traumeel, I think. Things feel different today, and somewhat better...I'm afraid to jinx it by saying too much!

Oldfart 08-10-2011 06:27 PM

Floating better than in the pool at Trump?

Nothing so entertaining :), but while things are still in flux today, I feel 85% of (what I remember as) normal, which is nothing short of miraculous for me. I will do 4 weeks of treatment, one treatment a week, but I am feeling optimistic for the first time in a such a long, long time. Chronic pain is a nightmare you think you're never going to wake up from, and after over 5 years, I was there...which is to say, in the pit of despair. To have hope is such a gift.

dicksbro 08-11-2011 06:02 AM

It's going to be another beautiful day in the heartland. Sure hope Mother Nature remembers how she did this so that she can give us more of it all the way until next spring. :boink:

jseal 08-11-2011 06:04 AM

^^ Yes indeed! ^^

I have opened up the downstairs windows and turned off the ACs for the first time in several weeks. :thumb:

Glad to hear you are feeling up. My best Grams used to say, "you get used to hanging, if you hang long enough." I always feel like that about my long term health issues and when suddenly you begin to feel better it is such an awakening.

I recently went off a drug that has made me sick for 15 years. I feel like a completely different person.

Hope you continue to feel relief!

AZRedHot 08-11-2011 10:09 AM

Thanks, Lil--that's it. When I was telling the pain people my story, and how long this has been going on, they could barely believe it. But when you're in the middle of it, you think that eventually you're going to turn the corner, so you keep at it, and suddenly, years have passed. You don't realize it until you tell someone else that it's been so insanely long. But having just a few days of some relief has brought me back to myself. I realized, "Hey! I AM fun, relaxed, and positive...I remember now." I thought that had been lost forever; it was just buried under pain, exhaustion, and the depression brought on by both.

Glad to hear you're feeling better, too! Wow! 15 years is way too long.

Coaster 08-11-2011 10:14 AM

Glad to hear the 2 of you are pain free!!!!^^^^^^

Preparing for the onslaught of "outlaws" visiting us soon!

Aqua 08-11-2011 05:58 PM

I don't have rabies. :p

There seems to be a wide gap between what the insurance co. thinks it should cost to replace my hail damaged roof & what the roof repair folks say it really costs. Like <$7000 vs. <$10,000. :argue:

Oldfart 08-13-2011 12:27 AM

Do they operate on the "three quotes" system?

Fangtasia 08-13-2011 12:37 AM

I went and got my eyes tested....new glasses coming.

Sounds more like the 3/4 system. :banghead:

Insurance, the only form of gambling I know where the House decides whether you have won, and if so, how much.

rabbit 08-13-2011 09:57 AM

Had some really delicious Indian food last night.

Lord Snow 08-13-2011 01:44 PM

I broke a fuel filter off in my carb in the ranchero. Now I can't get the threads out. Can we all say "F******************************************CK!" ?

Fangtasia 08-14-2011 12:55 AM

Just got up from a nanna nap to hear i missed a call from my upover buddy, whom i miss lots!!

Lord Snow 08-15-2011 07:31 PM

I got the carb fixed and back on the ranchero.

dicksbro 08-16-2011 11:57 AM

Way to go, Lord Snow!

Lord Snow 08-16-2011 05:31 PM

Don't cheer yet, I still have to change the in line fuel filter and clean out the tank. I don't think gas is supposed to be red.

Aqua 08-16-2011 06:21 PM

I still can't believe my daughter is an adult. Her voter's ballot showed up in the mail the other day. :o

Lord Snow 08-16-2011 09:24 PM

It happens. My niece is growing so fast. She's starting pre-k this year.

AZRedHot 08-16-2011 09:29 PM

I got to meet my idol, inlay genius Larry Robinson, this weekend at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival. He makes me want to never pick up a saw again...and inspires me to do it anyway. :)

Lord Snow 08-16-2011 09:58 PM

AZ, you can do anything you put your mind to. You're that wonderful.

AZRedHot 08-16-2011 10:13 PM

Thank you--that's very sweet. :kisser: I work at it, but the man has 35 years practice and a steadier hand than I; even if I worked at it every day, I doubt I'd ever be able to catch up in this lifetime.

And I daresay I put my mind to you from time to time, m'lord. ;)

Coaster 08-17-2011 12:38 AM

My baby is attending her 10th yr class reunion............

Oldfart 08-17-2011 08:19 AM

I just watched a couple of episodes of "Pie in the Sky", a Brit cop show centering on a restaurant. Quirky, but good.

PantyFanatic 08-17-2011 10:07 AM

WOW AZ. :faint:
Larry Robinson goes beyond talent and defines 'artisan' at the highest degree. Japan has respect for such people and makes them National Treasures.

You've got plenty of time. At the very least it's something to aspire to.
