This is a pretty sad bunch from one view with only the 4 ugliest. I even tried to touch base with CGT to find the number has been off long enough to be reissued. :tear:

Perhaps seeing who responds at all should tell us if it's close-up time for real. I suggest those of us who are left try to contact those we each had 'personal' contact with and see if any respond. That could be interesting in it's self.


And Shadow should jump out of the dark next. ;)

Yeah, not many of us left now! I only ever had 'personal' contact with a few Pixies, and even they have drifted off into the ether. I still engage with a few on the Book of Faces, but none seem inclined to return here for whatever reasons.

However, I concur with your guess of The Shadow to be next!

It's been said before, but in the heyday of Pixiedom I regularly logged on of an evening to pages and pages of new threads, replies etc! It was fun, and energetic, every. Single. Day.

Now, I'm sure I'm not alone even amongst us stalwarts, in going several days without looking in. Very sad, but it seems to be the way of the world these days.

Long time since ANYONE has been in here!

Anyway. I won't be around for a while now, as I am going in to hospital tomorrow (12th) to have almost half of my right lung removed.

Big C has visited me again.

NOW! The biggest issue is you, DM. We want to see you post on how the recovery is coming along. I'm a little too able to relate to 'lung' issues. :yikes:

Well. The operation itself took nearly twice as long as originally planned, mostly due to somewhat dodgy/incomplete information from the last CT scan I had. Essentially, they have removed the whole upper lobe, and part (maybe as much as half) of the middle lobe of my right lung, due to a fairly significant 'lesion'.

Tumour. It was a fucking TUMOUR Doc, FFS!!! Anyway.

Surgeon is convinced he has got every last molecule of cancer (which was early stage 2, in case you know what that means - related to size alone, from what I can work out. I digress) So now, I have 3 surgical wounds healing nicely, and a drain site hole, also healing. Get a check up from the surgeon in about 6 weeks or so. Gonna be off work for, 3 or 4 months they reckon - I'm 64 next year, so it'll be at least four months if I've got anything to do with it!!

Incidentally, this was found by accident, while scanning for potential bowel cancer, so I've still got that side of things to look forward to! Ho hum.

Still, I'm here to moan about it, and plan to be for a long time yet!! :D
