Lilith 06-28-2011 08:00 AM

true too

GusAspar 06-28-2011 11:38 AM

It's too hot to work in London.

Oldfart 06-28-2011 07:35 PM

It's too far to work in London.

Lilith 07-01-2011 08:55 PM

My friend lost her husband tonight to cancer. <40 years old and he has fought for most of his life to stay on this Earth with his wife and live to raise his daughter.

Lord Snow 07-01-2011 09:42 PM

Sorry to hear that. Cancer seems to take the good ones.

AZRedHot 07-01-2011 10:45 PM

I'm sorry, Lil.

dicksbro 07-02-2011 04:28 AM

Also sorry to hear that, Lil. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and for the saddness you must feel.

Fangtasia 07-02-2011 06:13 AM

Trees should not regrow in any way shape or form after they are trimmed, cause man oh man i am knackered after tidying up the trees in my front yard, damn feral they were. Yard is looking damn good now though. More to do tomorrow, but well on the way to tamed *LOL*

Bugger.

Lilith 07-03-2011 09:32 AM

My husband spent the morning trying to save this armadillo that had gotten in the yard. Eventually my dogs took care of things. I love Mr. Lil for trying.

Lord Snow 07-04-2011 11:44 AM

My shoulders hurt and I don't know why. Not sure if I slept wrong or if it's from when I dumped a 240 lb teenager out of a inner tube in the pool.

AZRedHot 07-04-2011 01:33 PM

I'll give you a shoulder and neck rub, m'lord.

My brain woke up at 10 a.m., but my body lazed in bed for another half an hour because I could. I love holidays.

Lord Snow 07-04-2011 03:09 PM

One of these days I definitely have to take route 66.......I swear my intentions are purely innocent.

Now now...just because my intentions are innocent doesn't mean I can't be persuaded.

Lilith 07-05-2011 08:21 AM

Prayers for you and the kid, Lilith

Lilith 07-05-2011 11:59 AM

:console:

dicksbro 07-05-2011 02:53 PM

Lil, more good wishes and prayers from the Mrs. and I.

Lord Snow 07-05-2011 04:59 PM

The ranchero is now registered and legal to drive. Now I have to clean out the lebaron.

Aqua 07-05-2011 07:09 PM

Excellent news, LS!

I am still waiting for my part to arrive so I can repair my Triumph.

PantyFanatic 07-05-2011 08:08 PM

Have you checked it out with our resident Triumph expert? ;)

What part are you waiting on?

Are you prompting for a Triumphant return?

I wish I had your mechanical abilities!

Lord Snow 07-05-2011 09:47 PM

My mechanical abilities are actually fairly limited. My dad, however, has over 20 years experience in the field professionally. 30+ if you include his teenage years helping his father in the local garage. I do know enough to do my own basic maintenance. I'm also very good at following directions out of a book.

Gearchange shaft. It was supposed to be in last Thursday.

gekkogecko 07-06-2011 10:09 AM

So Aqua is waiting oh-so-patiently to get the shaft.

PantyFanatic 07-06-2011 10:59 AM

Again?! :yikes:

Lilith 07-06-2011 12:09 PM

I went to a funeral today where there were funny stories told about a guy trying to help his best friend take a piss. Made everyone howl. Peeps better laugh at my funeral.

PantyFanatic 07-06-2011 06:57 PM

I'll see to it. ;)

Lilith 07-06-2011 07:01 PM

No Clowns!!!!!!!!!

Lord Snow 07-06-2011 09:03 PM

I got to drive the ranchero to work......and the starter locked up. Now it's back to the parts store for a starter and solenoid.

It is now.

AZRedHot 07-06-2011 11:31 PM

I couldn't get my new specs this afternoon because of an attempted carjacking (complete with gunshot) at Walmart half an hour before we arrived. I've never seen so many cop cars in one place before.

PantyFanatic 07-07-2011 12:21 AM

Was that at another place where "it can't happen here"?

AZRedHot 07-07-2011 12:57 AM

This is Arizona, where we just love, love, love guns. The more, the better. After our Congresswoman was shot at a Safeway in January, along with 18 others, 6 of whom died, I honestly would be surprised if anyone in this city still believed "it couldn't happen here" about anything.

PantyFanatic 07-07-2011 01:07 AM

Truly sad reality of the specie. :( Unfortunately not an innovation nor a monopoly. :boohoo:
