That's a mighty decorative statement there, young lady.

gekkogecko 03-18-2011 09:07 AM

I suppose that's better than not having an elbow at all.

Oldfart 03-18-2011 09:09 AM

And hers don't grow back like yours.

Hmmm, 16 weeks per return trip, three round trips per year with 4 weeks recovery.

It's a tough life for a Arizona Boxer.

I'll send a relay gift bringer to meet in Wichita. They can exchange stories to cheer each other up and twice as often.

WIN WIN!

sodaklostsoul 03-19-2011 11:30 AM

Don't wanna work today but my lotto ticket didn't hit so I guess I gotta go.

Lilith 03-19-2011 12:31 PM

Only the first 15 seconds is hard to dance to. That's because it's a warning the Zumba machine is going to polish your ass.

(Pretty cheating way to lose weight if you ask me :rolleyes2 )

AZRedHot 03-19-2011 07:05 PM

Hey OF and Fangtasia, picked me up some TimTams at the store today. It says they're Australia's favorite cookie. Is this true?

Fangtasia 03-19-2011 07:28 PM

OMG yes!! TimTams are nectar of the gods!!

Oldfart 03-19-2011 08:39 PM

TimTams. Bite opposite corners off and drink coffee through it like a straw. They call the TimTam slammers.

Works well with port also.

AZRedHot 03-19-2011 10:33 PM

I drink neither coffee nor port. Perhaps orange soda would work as well?

Oldfart 03-20-2011 12:42 AM

Probably not.

Hot chocolate may, or just have them as is.

dicksbro 03-20-2011 04:49 AM

Hmmmm ... Coffee, hot chocolate ... how about a glass of rum?

Oldfart 03-20-2011 06:15 AM

Rum and chocolate? Why not?

Lilith 03-20-2011 07:21 AM

I'm heading on a mini vacation. Don't tell PF.

Lord Snow 03-20-2011 11:19 AM

I finally got my secondary monitor set up and everything situated. I must say it is nice to be able to have multiple screens open and be able to see it all.

dicksbro 03-20-2011 06:59 PM

Went to see "Battle: Los Angeles" today. Very exciting special effects. Not a terribly deep plot, but terrific action scenes. Unusual (I think) for an "alien invades Earth" movie, the aliens are not invulnerable to our poor weapons. If you like action movies, you'll no doubt enjoy this (we do ... and we did :) ).

Lord Snow 03-20-2011 08:28 PM

I've seen quite a few movies where our technology could hurt them once we got through theirs. Like in Independence Day, we could shoot and kill them with ordinary bullets and missiles, but we had a lot of trouble getting through their biomechanical suit and shields.

gekkogecko 03-21-2011 09:11 AM

Been havign trouble sleeping the past week. Not actual insomnia, just horribly crappy sleep.

Oldfart 03-21-2011 09:25 AM

Me also. Broken sleep, slow to get back off.

Don't bother! Somebody gave her a smart-cell-periscope and now she watches me from where ever she goes. Sometimes technology can be TOO good.

I can't have no fun at all. :fix:

Lord Snow 03-21-2011 05:01 PM

It feels so good to be back on two wheels. Winter was just a little to long.

Lilith 03-21-2011 06:18 PM

I miss my guys. All of them.

Oh, that's not what you meant? :(

Oldfart 03-22-2011 05:52 AM

Of course she meant us.

sodaklostsoul 03-22-2011 08:19 AM

Tired of living in this crappy motel. Hopefully will have luck in finding a place later today.

In good company, Aqua.

PantyFanatic 04-07-2011 12:40 AM

Got some unexpected good news tonight.

As mentioned earlier this week, I have one granddaughter that is 12 years old and seriously into gymnastics.

Like many little girls, including her mother, they go for a couple years and enjoy the experience while exploring other interests. Well this one is into her fifth year of the sport, so it has caught more than a passing fancy for her. It's serious enough now that the possibility of this greatly helping her education is being looked at. Long story short, when she went to practice today she was surprised with the presentation of a letter explaining there had been a error in the point count and the 5th place in State All-around award. Besides making a proud grandfather, we now have some serious considerations of which way next.

Oldfart 04-07-2011 12:45 AM

Pass on our congratulations, please.

Achievement is a wonderful focus tool.

PantyFanatic 04-07-2011 01:13 AM

:thanks: I will do that.

You must be an extra-proud grandpa tonight (I know you're always a proud grandpa!) Congrats to your granddaughter, and your family.

Lord Snow 04-07-2011 05:27 PM

Progress is being made on the ranchero. Man I can't wait to get this thing up and running.

gekkogecko 04-08-2011 09:04 AM

Standings in the NHL Eastern Conference are still shaky. Caps are currently in first place, but they still have a game to play: Philly has 2 games, and if they win both of them, and the Caps lose their last game, Philly will take 1st place on the tie breakers. Rangers are currently in 8th place, but Buffalo could also blow their last two games, and give the Rangers 7th place. Montreal is in sixth, but could slip to 7th place. The three division winners and the top five other teams from each conference go to the playoffs.

So, unlikely, but there could be a repeat of last year's playoffs, in that Washington & Montreal could face each other in the first round of the playoffs again this year.

Lord Snow 04-08-2011 10:43 PM

My beast of a ranchero is alive and running. Now it's just a matter of fixing wear and tear parts and fine tuning the motor and what not. Lots of little things that add up to a lot of work.

gekkogecko 04-09-2011 10:11 AM

So last night, Philadelphia lost to Buffalo in overtime. Gives Washington the conference title: but who they face in the first round of the playoffs depends on the outcome of the Carolina/Tampa Bay & New York Rangers/New Jersey games tonight.
My wife & I had the following IM conversation about this:

(me): Buffalo beat Philadelphia in overtime.
(wife): yay?
(m): Caps have the conference title.
(w): ah, cool
(w): all I knew from your first statement was hot wings won against steak sandwiches in some unexplained contest
