I confess car alarms are useless.

LOL at ^^^^. I was in San Francisco once and a car alarm went off. When I looked (I was some distance from the car), everyone going by the car ... looked AWAY from it. There wasn't anyone even by the car but it was obvious, no one wanted to be involved.

I confess, that struck me as funny.
