I was myspace messaging with one of my former Lost Boys. He and my other former Lost Boy are doing well at their school and finally getting to spend more time in the mainstream.

This is the first year in I honestly can't remember how long, that I haven't spent New Year's with some very good friends of mine up in Des Moines.

I hate doing Red Cross runs, esp. in-town ones. Mind you, I know they're a wonderful org. that does great work...but their pay for drivers is shit...

I won't go into the details, but eariler tonight it involved three trips pushing a hand cart on foot over a great distance, in 40F weather with gale force winds coming down off the buildings...and I estimate I made about 50 cents per box I delivered...

Well, we're covered in snow once again.

That's the statement de jour here this winter, DB...I'm not sure I've seen the ground in a month. Six inches of snow yesterday and six more coming today. *sigh*

That pretty smile of hers ^^^ sure does warm things up. :)
